Beauty Tip #1: Brighten your complexion

Skin type: All

Gram flour
Sandalwood powder
Turmeric powder


In a mixing bowl, add 1 tablespoon of gram flour and sandalwood powder each, 3-4 tablespoons of milk to transform into a smooth paste ( add more if you think the consistency needs to be more thin ), 1 teaspoon of honey ( skip if you have oily skin, instead, use 1 tablespoon of rosewater ) and lastly a pinch of turmeric powder. Make sure it’s a pinch, you don’t want to go yellow!

Mix everything well and keep in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. Wash your face and pat dry. Apply the mixture and keep it on for about 15-20 minutes. When you think it has dried about 70%, sprinkle some water on your face and scrub gently for 5-7 minutes. Wash off the mixture and apply your normal moisturiser.
To be done 2 times a week.


Sandalwood Powder acts as an anti-biotic agent that removes all the bacteria from within your skin layer, helps reduce marks and smoothens skin. Gram flour lightens skin, reduces oiliness and fights pimples whereas turmeric powder helps in the treatment of acne and also makes your skin glow. Milk helps in cleaning the dirt and clearing any tanning if you have, helps give shine and adds healthiness to your face. Honey is good for dry skin as it acts as a moisturiser leaving your skin smooth, healthy and glowy. This marks also tightens the skin and helps reduce wrinkles or lines on the face.
